Moving...
I haven't been on here for a while, but with good reason. I have been busy putting together another site, so this will be my last post here. If you would like to keep following me you should visit my new site lcbdesigns.com

Caumsett Park
Last weekend I took a drive to Caumsettt State Park. It is such a pretty place. It used to be a private property in the early 1900s. The main house, winter and summer cottages and stables are still on the property. The park is huge. I was so exhausted after walking through only a fraction of it. It was a great workout for my legs. I wish I could have seen it back when it was still a private property. It must have been even more beautiful.

Striped Baby Blanket
I finished this baby blanket a few weeks ago but didn't have a chance to photograph it until now. You may recognize this blanket from a previous post (here) where I was working on it. It is now up for sale in my Etsy shop.
4th of July
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent mine mostly outdoors enjoying the weather and trying to get a bit of a tan.
Friday I was at the beach the whole day, relaxing in the sun.
Saturday I took a drive to the Montauk Point Lighthouse and this time I actually got to go all the way to the top. I was terrified going up, but it was totally worth it.
Sunday was rainy so I stayed home, watching movies with my dad. I saw Rosemary's Baby for the first time and didn't think it was anywhere near as good as people say.
Monday I went back to the beach but it was such a unique and strange experience. The beach was covered in fog to the point where you couldn't even see the water or more than 15 feet in front of you.
Work in Progress
I finally got around to starting a red scarf that matches my red hat
(seen here). I'm using a chunky acrylic yarn so that it's soft and warm. So far it's coming along nicely, and I just love how soft it feels.
Sorry for the lack of posts. School has been keeping me busy to the point of exhaustion.
Father's Day
I spent my Father's Day at Heckscher State Park walking around with my dad and enjoying the nice weather. We found a falcon's nest (pictured above) which also had two babies inside.

Pot Holders & Cookies
Whenever I'm making something in the kitchen (which isn't often), I'm always scared of burning myself. I've never been a fan of oven mitts, mostly because they are always way too big for my hands. As a solution I made myself a pair of pot holders. Since this was the first pair I've made, I wasn't sure if they would actually work or if I had to make them thicker. So, I tested them out by making some chocolate chip cookies. Turns out they work great. So great, in fact, that I think I'm going to be making some more to sell in my Etsy shop.
